How much is an abortion in Slippery Rock?

Abortion costs vary depending on the gestational stage of pregnancy, the provider, and your preferences. Additionally, there can be costs to you beyond the financial cost. Before obtaining an abortion there are some things you should consider.

Maybe you’re thinking that pregnancy, and the care it requires, is overwhelming, expensive, and a complete game changer. You might be scared about the changes you are facing. So many questions, so few answers, and it feels like you need everything addressed NOW!

We are here for YOU.

Here at Alpha Omega Center, you – the woman – are our priority. We are here to help you determine if you are indeed pregnant, and if so, to walk with you through the decision making process. Alpha Omega Center provides pregnancy confirmation, abortion information, options information, support, medical services, and more. All services are confidential and free of charge to you.

Pregnancy Care:

If you have an abortion in a clinic you can expect to pay $400-$1,500 or more.

However, if you think you may be experiencing an unplanned pregnancy, there are a number of things you need to do before you make any decisions.

Pregnancy Confirmation:

You are going to need to take a pregnancy test to confirm your pregnancy. A urine pregnancy test can tell you that you’re pregnant, and they are often quite inexpensive. At Alpha Omega Center we can provide you with a free medical grade pregnancy test. We can also provide you with a free ultrasound to determine how far along you are in your pregnancy (see below).

Abortion Information:

There is a lot of information floating around about abortion. At Alpha Omega Center, we can give you accurate information with no strings attached.

Options Information:

There is often a lot of pressure to make decisions quickly when you find yourself facing an unplanned pregnancy. Everyone you talk to will have their own opinion about what you should do, but the problem is, they are not YOU. This is YOUR decision to make and you need to talk it over with someone who is unbiased and does not profit -financially or otherwise- from your decision.

Ultrasound:

It is important to have an ultrasound to verify that your pregnancy is progressing normally before you make any decisions. If, for example, you found out through ultrasound that there were abnormalities such as an ectopic pregnancy, these need to be addressed immediately by a medical professional specializing in obstetrics and gynecology, not in a clinic environment. An ultrasound helps to equip you to make the decision that is best for you and your health.

Support:

Alpha Omega Center can provide you with information about local resources and help with baby and maternity items if you choose to parent. If you’re not sure what you want to do but you have older children we can help you with their needs as well.

Medical services: in addition to pregnancy testing and ultrasound we can provide STD testing and treatment as well as healthy living information.

We are happy to walk with you through this process. Contact us at clientservices@alphaomegacenter.org to make an appointment to talk with one of our team members.
